Eve is a stunning tortoiseshell beauty with the classic, near-constant, tortitude Grump Face, but don’t let her expression fool you — Behind that skeptical stare is a genuinely sweet and sensitive girl with an adorably soft meow and rumbling purr. Naturally timid and wary of new people and situations, Eve takes her time to warm up, but once she decides you’re okay, she’ll lean in for gentle head rubs and offer affectionate nudges. She’s not a lap cat, but she does enjoy quiet companionship curled up by your legs on a bed or recliner, happy just to be close. She also enjoys time to herself.
Eve isn’t much into people-led play, but she has a quirky solo hunting routine she proudly shows off. She’ll toss her toys in the air, leap after them, and then strut around announcing her success in raspy yowl. It’s equal parts adorable and hilarious.
She shares a very special bond with her best friend, Ducky2.0. These two are frequently found cuddling, grooming, and eating side by side (even when offered separate dishes!). That said, treat time sometimes sparks a mini showdown over who deserves the last bite while both firmly believe it should be them!
Eve and Ducky2.0 have truly thrived together in foster care, and we would love to see them find a forever home as a pair. If that’s not possible, Eve absolutely needs a calm, cat-savvy feline friend in her new home — someone who can help her feel safe, confident, and show her that her new humans are trustworthy. She will need time and patience to settle in, but the reward of earning her trust is something special.
Eve is a quiet, soulful companion with a soft heart under her serious face. With the right environment and the comfort of a feline friend, she’ll bloom into a loyal and loving presence in your home.
Est. DOB January 2020, Eve is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Eve had to have her tail amputated due to some self-mutilation at intake (possibly from a prior injury), but now it doesn't bother her.
