My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh, Dottie!  The name Dottie is a diminutive form of Dorothy, which itself is of Greek origin, meaning “gift of God”.  This little lady is just that, a gift.  Dottie was found in the bleak landscape of a country trailer park, in an abandoned trailer in southern Tennessee.  No,   we are not in Kansas!  The trailer may have been destroyed by a tornado, but little Dottie and her littermates somehow survived.  That trailer is barely a memory for Dottie.  She is enjoying the comforts of a safe house, with warm beds, and towers to climb, and balls to chase.  What is that catnip stuff?  That is great fun!  Is this the Emerald City?  This place is great!  What a wonderful wizard, indeed.  You don’t need to be a wizard to see what a cutie this girl is.  At around four months old, Dottie is long and lean.  And adorably covered in dots!  Actually, she is a black and white tabby, with an adorable white bib on her chest.  She has a lot of growing to do, and will quickly fill out with all these daily meals.  No more scavenging.  She is really learning to love her crunchies.  And, simply earning to love.  The name Dottie conveys a sense of warmth and affection, and is associated with a lively and playful personality.  This is exactly what you get from Dottie.  Such a gentle spirit.  A sweet little soul.  Still a little timid, she is learning to trust and to cuddle with her human foster.  But it is not hard for her to do!  Follow the yellow brick road, Dottie!  It will lead you to your forever home.  No ruby slippers needed to click, just four white paws!  But little Dottie is ready to go home.  Will that be your home?  Please, no wicked witches with broom sticks, or dark, dingy castles for this lovely girl.  This little munchkin has earned her hot air balloon ride, right into your heart!  Can you hear her purring?  There is no place like home…..there is no place like home…..there is no place like home…

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are a full volunteer rescue organization. All of our animals are kept in loving foster homes, receiving the best care possible. A completed application must be submitted and approved to meet with our dogs/pups. A completed application helps us determine compatibility and also helps us to ensure a successful adoption.
