What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We found Rocky back in Texas, at our local playground, underweight, covered in ticks with a broken leg. We ended up discovering Rocky had been severely abused and dumped. Rocky underwent a lengthy surgery and rehabilitation process with 5 months of crate rest. Rocky seemed like a great fit and we decided we wanted to try keeping him. Unfortunately we moved and after seeing Rocky under duress we realized he is not a good fit for our family. When Rocky is stressed he does not like pets and will let out a growl to tell you. He has never bitten anyone but we have a 3 year old in the house. We do not think Rocky should be in a home with anyone under the age of 13. Anyone in the home needs to understand that Rocky comes with trauma and his space needs to be respected. He is low drive and is currently crated 8+ hours a day. Rocky loves to play fetch until the cows come home and have his face pet. He does love to snuggle and get pets as long as he feels safe.
