Does AUTUMN know she's a cat? Honestly, the jury's still out, she seems to think she's a dog. This beautiful green-eyed tuxedo kitty loves hanging out with her doggie pals. Autumn is a delightful girl with a big personality. She loves everyone -- people, smallish dogs and other respectful cats. She's so happy to be petted and loved on by her people, her happy place is by your side purring for attention. Autumn is a playful girl who enjoys her toys. She loves the small dogs in her foster home, doing her best to keep them nice and clean. Earlier this year she was found dumped in a carrier, covered in urine and feces. Her skin was scalded with urine burns and she was morbidly obese at 18 lbs. Autumn has a long history with SDHR. She first landed in the rescue back in 2016 with a litter of kittens. After raising her babies, she found a home but was then returned, eventually finding a home with another adopter. 5 years later she was dumped. Our volunteers got to work healing her skin and addressing her weight/health. Her skin is healed and she's nice and fluffy once again. She's down to 13 pounds and feeling so much better. We are still working on getting a few more pounds off of her so that she can live comfortably and groom herself properly. If you'd like to meet Autumn, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. You can meet Autumn at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
