Meet Henrietta! The first things you'll notice about this sweet little lady are her stunning green eyes and her talkative nature. This little chatterbox isn't afraid to use her voice to let you know about the cool bird she just saw, tell you how much she missed you while you were gone, or lead you to her favorite seat so you can curl up together.
Henrietta may look like your standard issue tabby cat, but her true identity is certified Snugglebug. She will follow you around until you sit down, then jump into your lap. Before she starts making biscuits, she makes sure you engage in some meaningful eye contact so you know she doesn't just want to snuggle, she wants to snuggle with you. And Henrietta loves snuggling so much that no matter what position she ends up in--stretched out across your lap like a melted piece of taffy, tucked into the crook of your arm like an upside-down armadillo, curled up in your palm like a hibernating squirrel, draped across your neck like a scarf--she'll be snoring softly in no time.
If you can't sit down for snuggles, Henrietta absolutley loves to be petted and is not shy about letting you know her favorite spots. Like most cats, she loves a good brushing and chin scritch; unlike most cats her favorite spot is...her belly! When she flops over, she hugs your hand to make sure you remember to rub her belly. When she's done with her belly rub, she'll curl up like a roly poly bug and use her hind legs to bunny kick your hand up to her head which means it's time for head and nose rubs. If she stands in front of you and puts her front paws up on your shoulders, it's time for a cheek massage!
Henrietta delivered her kittens three days after she came to CARE last summer as a very pregnant stray. She got her name Henrietta, aka Hen, because she was such a good little mother hen to her babies. Her kittens are happily settled with their forever families, and Hen is eager to find her forever family too! She is used to being on alert and looking out for herself and her kittens and would do best in a home that is willing to be patient while she gets used to her new surroundings and family. If you're looking for a professional snuggler and affectionate conversationalist, and willing to give her time to find her new voice, Henrietta is just the companion for you!
If interested in Henrietta, please submit an online application and an adoption coordinator will contact you.
