Once upon a time, Malia’s world was nothing but hardship. Rescued from a crumbling home in Georgia, she was critically ill, painfully thin, and barely hanging on. But this brave mama was still able to care for her three newborn puppies Kai, Lani, and Keanu.
A life-threatening intestinal blockage caused by a swallowed piece of metal almost ended her story before it began.But Malia is a fighter. And she won.
Today, she is blooming into the confident, loving, and gentle girl she was always meant to be. She greets every staff member and volunteer with a wagging tail and warm eyes. She’s people-friendly, dog-friendly, and always ready for a little playtime or a gentle chew on her favorite toy. She’s treat-motivated, already knows “sit,” and has a knack for making everyone around her smile.
Sure, she’ll sometimes bark at her reflection we’ve all been there, but she’s polite on leash and full of heart.
Malia is ready for her next chapter. One filled with love, soft beds, and the security she’s always deserved. Could you be the one to give it to her?
