Mindy may look like an ordinary brown tabby with hints of orange, but we’re pretty sure she’s from another galaxy. A cautious little explorer, she’s still figuring out if Earth is safe for full trust and affection. She won’t beam into your lap right away—in fact, she prefers to observe from a safe distance until she’s sure your intentions are friendly. But with patience, consistency, and a calm environment, you’ll begin to see her true self emerge: a gentle, curious cat who just needed a little time to adjust to this strange new planet.

Mindy is fluent in feline and finds comfort in the company of other cats. She would thrive in a home with a confident cat friend to show her the ropes—or the lasers, as it were. Cat-savvy kids may also be able to connect with her, especially those who respect her space and understand the universal language of slow blinks. Mindy is ready to begin her next mission—planet Home Sweet Home—if you’re ready to help her feel safe in your orbit.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
