Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a little chaos wrapped in a whole lot of love? That’s me — Freya the Frolicker! Some days I’m also known as Freya the Squirrel Seeker or Freya the Leash Acrobat… depends on how spicy I’m feeling.
I’m 47 pounds of pure enthusiasm, and I love people — especially the ones who give good scritches. I’ll lean right into you for affection, sit when you ask, and beam with pride when you tell me I’m a good girl.
Now, full disclosure: if it has feathers, fur, or goes squeak, I will chase it. Squirrels, birds, bunnies — all fair game in my book. So, no cats please. I also get a little distracted by woodland noises… if a branch rustles, I must investigate. It’s only fair.
I’d do best in an active home with space to zoom. Kids? Yes, as long as they can handle my excitement. Another dog? Maybe! Just introduce us slowly and I’ll do my best to be polite. Once I’ve gotten my sillies out, I’m all about those snuggles. If you can give me guidance, patience, and plenty of playtime, I’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day.
So… ready to let a little joyful chaos into your life? I promise I’m worth it.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc., located in Fallston, Maryland, is a non-profit, open-admission animal support organization dedicated to providing shelter and care to the homeless, abandoned and abused animals of Harford County. We provide a safe and healthy temporary shelter and seek loving, permanent homes to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals we serve. Through education and advocacy, we promote the humane treatment of companion animals and work toward reducing, and ultimately eliminating, pet overpopulation in the county through low-cost spay and neuter programs.
We have welcomed more than 300,000 animals since 1946 and provide service to the community in conjunction with animal control to safeguard public health and safety. We strive to promote the special bond between humans and their companion pets in securing forever homes for our animals.
The Humane Society of Harford County serves nearly 4,000 animals each year. The animals include dogs, cats, ponies, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, lizards, snakes, spiders, iguanas, turtles, ducks, turkeys, chickens, goats and pigs, to name a few. The majority of the animals we receive are cats (and kittens) and dogs (and puppies).
