Lisette was part of a hoarding case where close to fifty dogs were found living under one roof. The conditions were horrific and we can't imagine what she faced during her life before coming to ALIVE. Many of the dogs were being starved and left in crates twenty four hours a day.
Given all this, Lisette is a happy, tenacious girl.
What do we love most about this sweetheart? She is active, engaged, and soft as velvet. Her eyes are full of love and her heart is simply waiting to give back to her people. She will need a little patience in her first days at home but she is super smart and will pick up her training very quickly. Lisette is always down for adventures but wants a quiet place at the end of the day to relax with her folks.
She loves other dogs, car rides, adventures to the beach, lazy Sundays, and a good toy. While she is fine being independent, she also enjoys quality time with her favorite people, whether that be long walks, snuggles, or running/chasing her human friends.
With her high energy, Lisette is best suited to a home with a yard to run around in, or with an active owner who enjoys long walks. She has done great with older kids and is very good with other dogs once introduced.
Are you ready to rescue this brown-eyed angel from Big Barn and show her what a wonderful place the world can be? Apply to adopt Lisette today.

ALIVE Rescue is a sustainable animal rescue group committed to protecting the lives and rights of animals. We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. Our rescue permanently houses and cares for the animals that cannot be placed into forever homes for the duration of their natural lives. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.
Since our formation in 2008, ALIVE Rescue has rescued more than 1,600 animals in the Chicago area.
