My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I’m Kahlua Blue—formerly known at HART as Visalia. I love the name my foster mom gave me, so I'm keeping it! I’m a beautiful 8-year-old lynx point Siamese with ocean-blue eyes and a silky-soft coat. I’m a gentle, quiet soul who finds happiness in life’s simple pleasures: a sunny window, a cozy nap, and a calm home where I can relax and purr the day away. When I’m especially content, I chortle softly and make biscuits with great enthusiasm—it’s my way of saying, “Life is good.”

In my foster home, I’ve discovered how much I love spending time outside in the garden. I never wander off—just enjoy lounging in the sun, watching the world go by, and coming inside for meals and cuddles. A patio or safe outdoor space would be a dream come true for me. I’m tidy, polite, and quiet through the night, waiting patiently until morning for breakfast.

I do have hyperthyroidism and mild feline asthma, but both are easily managed with simple daily medication. My foster mom says I’m a great eater, and my daily medicine is easy to give—she just crushes my pill into my wet food, and I never even notice. HART will be happy to explain how easy my care routine is. I’ve been deeply loved in foster care, and my foster mom says I’m “a beautiful sweetheart.” I’m ready to find a forever home that treasures peaceful moments, gentle affection, and the quiet joy of a loyal friend by their side.

More about this rescue

HART is a hands-on volunteer organization working to make a difference in our community of San Luis Obispo County by rescuing abandoned animals, trapping and neutering stray and feral cats, and fostering sick and needy animals until we can find the best matched homes for them. Our unique cage-fee shelter allows cats to roam freely and socialize with each other. We are a no-kill shelter.
