What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Mani showed up one evening, where neighborhood and feral cats often come for food in the Stronghold neighborhood in NE DC. Mani was different due to his “chattiness” and allowed his fosters to pet and handle him immediately. It is assumed he was a lost cat but no luck in finding his parents. He wasn’t neutered but has since been neutered and received all vaccines. He is assumed to be less than 2 years of age. Mani is confident and not a cat who wants to be alone. He wants cat and human friends to play with and talk to. There isn’t a toy that he is not fond of or a scratcher he isn’t down for scratching. He has a calm demeanor when being handled and tolerates nail trimmings and belly rubs. He still needs a hiding place to retreat to as he gets comfortable in new spaces but would do best in a home with cat trees, plenty of views of the outside, and would do well as an only cat. He has no known interactions with dogs. Blood and certs available.
