Meet Joker Spades - Your Future Couch Companion!
Joker Spades is a 7-year-old male English Bulldog. He may be 7, but he's still got plenty of personality packed into that chunky bulldog frame! This food-motivated fella will let you know (loudly!) when he smells something cooking-his bark might rattle your pans, but it's all part of his charm. He's a master of the "sad eyes for snacks" routine and will happily follow his nose anywhere food is involved.
Joker's had a rough go health-wise, but we're already helping him turn the corner. His joints need some love, and he's starting meds to help him move more comfortably. His skin and ears are in tough shape, and his hair seems to fall off with a breeze-but with the right diet and some TLC, we're confident he'll feel like a brand-new bulldog soon.
He's potty trained (way to go, Joker!) and considers belly rubs the ultimate reward. He's also a bit of a "humpy hunk," using his... let's call it enthusiasm to get his point across-but neutering should help calm that behavior down. He's not a fan of stairs, so he's looking for a home that's all one level-but don't underestimate him! Joker's surprisingly agile when it comes to hopping onto couches and chairs for cuddle time.
He loves bones, belly rubs, and being where the people are. With a patient, loving home, Joker Spades is ready to trade his jokester past for a happy, comfy future.

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
