My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet precious miss, Platypus!

She, her siblings, and parents all arrived to our care all together, and while most of them have found their families, Platypus is still patiently looking for her adoring home!

When you first meet sweet Platypus, you wouldn't know how goofy she can truly be and doesn't let her true personality show at first; she's reserved, a little cautious, and still getting used to pets. Despite this, Platypus is a gentle, inquisitive, silly, and intelligent lady!

She loves to spend her days lounging in her hidey, getting the occasional burst of zoomies, rearranging to her heart's content, and playing with her various enrichment (her stacking cups and cardboard items her her favorites!)

Platypus would appreciate a patient, low-key home that's willing to give her the time she needs to gain her bearings and become fully comfortable with her surroundings. With plenty of hang out sessions, delicious healthy snacks, and fun toys to play with, this sweet, soft bun is sure to become your best bud and an adoring companion!

Platypus would prefer to be the sole bun of the household at the moment, or at least have her own separate space if other bun residents. If not, with her wonderful litterbox skills, she'd make a great free-roaming companion in a rabbit-proofed home!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
