Frog may be young, but he’s already shown incredible resilience and heart. He first arrived at the shelter in July and, like many energetic puppies, needed a little extra time to find the right match. He was adopted twice in August, but both situations simply weren’t the perfect fit — once due to his playful energy, and once because he prefers a home without cats.
Since then, Frog has been hard at work becoming his best self! He recently completed the Friends for Folks basic training program, where he learned manners, confidence, and new skills to help him shine in a forever home.
Now, Frog is coming back to Norman Animal Welfare and is officially ready for adoption. He’s smart, trainable, full of personality, and SO deserving of a family who will give him the love and structure he’s been waiting for.
If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with puppy energy and a big heart, come meet Frog — your new best friend might just be hopping into your life today.

More about this shelter
Norman Animal Welfare is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Norman, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Norman and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public microchipping, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.
We average approximately 3,400 animals in and out of our facility each year. We have an amazing facility that fully opened in 2016. We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
