Basie is still a shy boy at heart, but he is much more confident than he once was. With time and consistency, his goofy personality really shines. He may not be the type to rush right up for attention, but with a patient adopter who lets him (and Bessie) come to them, you’ll be rewarded with watching them zoom around the house, wrestle, and play like happy, carefree kittens.

Basie finds comfort in his sister and other cats, enjoys playtime, and will never say no to his favorite treat—Churu. A calm, understanding home that respects his pace will be the perfect place for him to continue blossoming.

Visits with animals will not be setup until we have an approved application on file. All animals are in foster homes.

The Wichita Animal Action League, or WAAL, is an all-volunteer, licensed rescue and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in November 2013 to advocate for all abused, neglected and abandoned animals in the Wichita, Kansas area. WAAL is an action oriented group dedicated to rescuing animals in crisis.
