Carolina is the self-appointed ring leader of the Pepper crew. She takes her time to really warm up to new friends, but once she is comfortable she comes to life and is ready for some couch cuddles. She loves to play with crinkle balls and carries them around in her mouth. Once she has all her play-energy burnt out, she finds a cozy spot to relax and enjoys being pet till she falls asleep. She has met both cats and dogs in her foster home and does will with them. But her best friend ever is her brother, Ghost. This brother-sister can often be found playing a game of tag together and curling up for a nap after they're done with playtime. Carolina gains confidence from Ghost's steady presence, and the two of them will no doubt be the stars of their new household!

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.
If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!
Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175
