Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rufus is a sweet senior sir who has not had it easy in life. First at PACC in 2024 under less than ideal circumstances, he recently returned as a stray. Every dog deserves a family and a soft place to lay their head at night, and that’s even more true for our seniors!
During a short stay in a foster home Rufus was a quiet houseguest who was described as reserved and friendly. Here’s what some of his volunteer fans have said:
“I brought adorable Rufus out to a play yard this afternoon. He was very excited to go out, but very easy to leash up in his kennel. Once in the play yard he wandered around a little bit but mostly wanted to be next to me getting pets. He has the sweetest little old man face and curly cute tail! He is extremely handsome! He was spry and active, I never would have guessed that he was 9 years old! This sweet boy deserves a comfy retirement home!”
“Rufus is the type of dog that doesn’t seem to get noticed much in the shelter because he’s so mild-mannered and reserved - but the first thing you’re going to ask yourself when you do finally meet this handsome boy is, “Why didn’t I know about this PRINCE CHARMING any sooner?!”
Rufus shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask to meet Rufus today!!
