Meet Sonic a tiny survivor with a huge heart.Sonic is a 45-year-old, 8-lb male Chihuahua who has already overcome so much. He was found washed up along a farm embankment after being carried downstream by a river, but despite his rough start, Sonics spirit is gentle and loving. Sonic is housebroken, very sweet, and has a playful side once he feels safe. He can be shy at first and may be cautious around men, likely due to his past, but with patience and kindness he truly blossoms. He is currently in a foster home with a male foster dad and has completely warmed up becoming the ultimate velcro pup. From his foster dad:Wherever I go, Sonic is right there snuggled beside me or curled up on top of me. He sleeps with me and wakes me up with tiny Chihuahua kisses. Hes discovered the iguanas in the yard and loves to chase them (no catches yet). Sonic enjoys going for walks and would love a calm, patient home where he can continue building trust and confidence. Because of his sensitive nature, we feel he would do best with older children who understand giving him time and space. Once Sonic chooses you, youll have a loyal best friend for life. We have an adoption application, adoption contract, and a spay/neuter agreement for puppies too young to spay/neuter at the time of adoption. We can email you an application, once we receive it your references are checked and then we can arrange a home visit.

Broward County School Teachers who created this 501c3 non-profit organization in 2012, that have a deep love for animals and want to make a difference by keeping dogs and cats safe! We adopt dogs of all sizes and breeds. We provide assistance to families experiencing financial hardship that truly love their dog or cat but cannot afford to keep them due to a financial crisis and avoid them from having to surrender their pet to a high kill animal shelter. We provide foster homes to dogs and cats and help find them loving furever homes.
