Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rosie!
Rosie is a beautiful black mixed-breed girl with a distinctive white blaze on her chest and a heart full of love waiting to be shared. She and her brother Sam were rescued from a convenience store in Frisco about three years ago. Sam has since found his forever home, and now it is time for Rosie to find hers.
At first, Rosie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her sweet and loyal nature shines through. She has blossomed in our care, transforming from a quiet observer into a loving companion who now seeks out head rubs and enjoys being close to her person. Rosie will even nudge her way through the other dogs to get the affection she has come to love!
Rosie is alert and makes an excellent little 'doorbell' - she will let you know if someone knocks or if there is a strange noise outside. She is also athletic and, once bonded, would likely love to go anywhere her person goes. At about 40 pounds, she is a great medium size for adventures or snuggles on the couch.
We believe Rosie may have mostly Belgian Shepherd Malinois in her, but whatever her mix, she is 100% devoted companion material.
If you are looking for a loyal, loving friend who will bloom with patience and affection, Rosie could be the perfect match.

More about this rescue
Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
