My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet adoptable Onyxia, Nyxi for short!

Update from foster: Nyxi would do great in a home who wants to be or is already involved in dogs sports/enrichment activities. She is one smart cookie and has the energy to match. I’m lucky enough to see Nyxi often, and I fall in love with her everytime! If we didn’t already have three, best believe she’d be joining our family.

Social with humans

90% crate trained (will happily go in crate at meal times, can settle in there, currently working on duration in crate while being quiet)

Travels extremely well in a crate in the box of my truck. Loads up and comes out with ease. Will happily just chill in the crate and watch the world go by.

She is loose in the house when we go out. With proper physical and mental outlets, she has proven that can trusted not to destroy things.

No behavioural concerns like separation anxiety, aggression (dog or human), OCD behaviours, or resource guarding.

Thoroughly Enjoys:

*CaniX (trail running and hiking)

*Bikejoring

*Weight pull/drag work

*Tracking

Things that she probably would be good at:

*Skijoring

*Barn Hunt

*Fast Cat

*Agility

*Scent detection/nosework

Nyxi is a 1½  to 2 years old female husky. She weighs about 30 lbs

BACKGROUND: Nyxi was a homeless pup on the streets of Mexico. She was seen wandering through the busy roads searching for food. It was fournd that some people in the area were threatening to poison her, so she was rescued and taken in by a foster family in Joco. Now she's patiently waiting for a home to call her own.

PERSONALITY: Nyxi is a cheerful, happy-go-lucky, playful doggie. She is always happy to meet new people and new dogs to play with. She is the type of dog who is up for anything you'd like to do. She's happy to join in all your activities, adventures, and outings. And she will definitely cuddle as much as you'll let her! She is friendly and social with both humans and other dogs. She's fantastic with kids too!

ENERGY LEVEL: Laika is medium energy. She really enjoys being outdoors, going for walks with her "pack", and checking out her surroundings.

ANIMAL FRIENDS: Laika loves other dogs, especially playtime with her pup pals. She walks nicely during pack walks amongst a large groups of dogs. She does not show any aggression or resource guarding behaviour. She has not been tested with cats.

TRAINING: Nyxi is house trained, leash trained, and rides well in the car. She is currently being trained with her foster family in the lower mainland all kinds of helpful and bonus lessons.

VETTING: Nyxi has been vet-checked, spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and flea/tick treated. No injuries. No known health issues.

**PLEASE NOTE: Nyxi is local however there is an additional $225 fee for transport to Canada. This will be discussed upon approval.**
