My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna – Your Soul Dog in Waiting
Breed: Cattle Dog / Australian Shepherd / Red Heeler mix
Weight: 46 lbs | Spayed | Microchipped | Up to Date on Vaccinations | Heartworm Negative

Luna is a beautiful, soulful girl who was saved just in time from the shelter thanks to a kind-hearted foster and rescue. With her soft brown coat and eyes full of emotion, Luna’s spirit speaks volumes—this is a dog who has known hardship but still chooses love.

Likely having spent most of her life outside, exposed to the elements and without consistent care, Luna is now discovering the comfort of fluffy dog beds, the joy of belly rubs, and the peace of simply being near someone who loves her. She is gentle, well-behaved, and deeply affectionate—she will follow you around the house, quietly soaking up your presence, reminding you every day what connection truly means.

Luna is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can be the only pet. She's not interested in a busy lifestyle or dog parks—just some time with you in a quiet yard, a slow morning walk in the cool air, and then curling up by your side for a nap and some TV. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you the center of her universe, Luna may be your perfect match.

This special girl deserves her forever person—someone with a big heart and a gentle hand who’s ready to give her the love she’s never truly known. In return, Luna will offer you devotion, calm companionship, and soulful love.

Think Luna might be your soulmate in dog form? Fill out an adoption application and her foster mom will be in touch. Luna is ready to meet the person she’s been waiting her whole life for. Is it you?

Additional adoption info

We endeavor to find the best home for each pet in our care. We do home visits on every pet, even if it can only be a virtual visit with pictures and videos from the potential adopter. Most of the time we adopt to people who live close enough for a personal home visit.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility; so meet and greets with potential adopters, pets and current pets are done on an appointment bases; sometimes at the potential adopter's home, or in a neutral location.
