My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shenanigans is one handsome boy- and who can resist those big loveable cheeks?! Though his name might suggest mischief, he’s actually a timid and cautious boy at heart. Right now, new people and environments can feel a little overwhelming for him, but with patience, kindness, and a gentle approach, Shenanigans has the potential to blossom into a truly sweet companion.

He’s already shown that he does well with other cats, which may help him feel more secure and supported. What Shenanigans needs most is a calm, loving home where he’ll be given the time and understanding to grow at his own pace.

If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Shenanigans is waiting for the chance to trust, love, and thrive.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
