What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Nelson (7yo), a loving, loyal, well trained dog who has been our companion since rescued at one year old. He’s incredibly affectionate with family and great with kids, but has strong protective instincts around strangers, especially near the front door. With our growing family and more frequent visitors, it;s become harder to manage his guarding behavior. Nelson would thrive in a quiet home with a large yard or farm, big bed, and home willing to give him snuggles. He needs space out side of the city to run. He is well trained, will bike 10+ miles with you, and be the best companion for long hikes or camping trips (his favorite).
We love him deeply, and this decision comes from a place of wanting what’s best for him. We simply don’t need his protection and know someone needs his love.
Nelson will come with beds, kennel, food, and a donation to the right home and family to ensuring he continues to live a great life.
