My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hookfang is the quiet, cautious observer of the group, but don’t let his shyness fool you. With a little time, patience, and love, this gentle boy is already beginning to show his sweet and playful personality. He enjoys playing with his siblings and will do best in a home with another confident cat/kitten, or with his brother, Stormfly to help him feel safe and loved.

Hookfang and his four siblings were born in a backyard with 15–20 unfixed cats, lovingly fed by a sweet elderly man in the neighborhood. One of our fosters stepped in after realizing that while these cats were being fed, they were not getting essential medical care or vet visits. Thanks to this kindness, we were able to safely rescue all five kittens!

Hookfang has come a long way and is ready to continue his journey with a family who will give him time to shine.

The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and abused cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.

Although many cats love the outdoors, we believe street living is not meant for cats as it poses many dangers to them such as being a potential gateway to contracting infectious diseases, getting injured or abused, all while creating litters of kittens that can grow into an uncontrolled community of cats very quickly. For all these reasons and many more, the outdoors can never provide a cat the healthy, fulfilling life it deserves. The Purrty Pals provides a fighting chance to these homeless and innocent kitties.

Our team is committed to making a difference in reducing the overall stray cat population in our community, while still advocating for the humane treatment of cats.
