Meet Banana Split! This sweet and silly boy was rescued from a feral colony in West Oakland after he made the bold (and not-so-bright) choice to stroll into a trap baited with screaming kittens. Despite his rocky start, Banana Split has a soft heart beneath his shy and skittish exterior. With a little time and patience, he blossoms into a total cuddlebug who’ll happily soak up all the love and pets you’re willing to give.
You can find him basking in a sun spot or watching TV with you. He is very playful and fond of chasing around any little bits of plastic he can find, playing with anything he can get his paws on, and even if that's his own tail! He gets a bit too crazy for laser pointers. Although he needs time to warm up to his human friends, he is always willing to snuggle up to any cat that will let him. Banana Split will definitely need a home that will be patient with him and allow him to blossom into the sweet boy he is. A calm, quieter home with other cats would be best for him, as he needs a feline companion.
Banana Split is around a year old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Adopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need.
Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2.
Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter.
The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
