Ariel is a shy dog in the kennel. The noise and barking seem to overwhelm her. Once she got outside, she sniffed my hand and gave a soft kiss. That showed she was only scared inside the building. In the big play yard, she turned into a completely different dog. She played with toys, ran around, sat, and rolled happily in the grass. Some dogs shut down in loud, stressful places. Outside she relaxed and even wagged her tail while we played. She also walked nicely on the leash and did her business right away. Ariel will need an adopter who lets her take her time as she adjusts to life beyond the shelter.
