Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Elm – A Sweet, Independent Girl with a Big Purr and a Soft Heart
Elm is a beautiful grey tabby with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. She knows her name well and will come when called—usually with a soft meow and a sweet nuzzle to let you know she’s checking in. One of her favorite ways to say hello is by rubbing against your head while you’re relaxing on the couch.
Elm may enjoy her independence, but she’s also incredibly affectionate when she chooses to be, and she purrs like crazy once she’s in the mood for love.
She’s especially close with her sister, Birch—they're true besties—so we’d love to see them adopted together. If that’s not possible, Elm would be happiest in a home with another friendly feline companion.
If you're looking for a low-key, loving cat with a soft heart and a strong bond to her people, Elm is ready to meet you.
Birch is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
