Dixie and 2 other pups came to us under heartbreaking circumstances. Their owner, a homeless woman living in a tent, lost everything in a tragic fire. With no place to go, she made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender some of her beloved dogs to us, hoping they’d find the loving homes they deserve.

🐾 Dixie – A loving and cuddly girl who adores attention. She can be a bit protective of her food and toys around the smaller pups but still enjoys playtime with them. She’s very food-motivated and full of affection.
Up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and microchipped.

We have an application and a contract that must be completed by potential adopters. We must obtain information to speak to your veterinarian for current animal records. If a new pet owner, we must have permission to speak to your employer. If neither are available, we are unable to adopt a pet to you.

Hundreds of lives have been saved through our efforts, which include a spay and neuter program for impoverished pet owners, frequent visits to rescue animals from shelters suffering from a desperate lack of funding, and the complete inability for any of our patient and dedicated volunteers to turn down a creature in need.
