Meet Oscar and Jack: the sweetest little yin-and-yang duo looking for a forever home together.
Oscar, a charming 8-month-old kitten, didn’t get the gentlest beginning. Born to a street-savvy mom who had learned to fear humans, Oscar and his siblings spent their first weeks believing people were something to avoid. When they arrived in foster care, they were thin, frightened, and huddled together for safety.
With time, patience, and lots of quiet encouragement, this litter has bloomed. Oscar has made huge strides, even if he’s still the thoughtful one who prefers to hang back and observe. These days, he’ll curl up near your feet, accept gentle pets when he’s feeling brave, and show flashes of the confident boy he’s becoming. His future family will need a little patience while he continues learning that people can be safe and kind, but the progress he’s made already is inspiring.
And now for the fun part: once he trusts you, Oscar is absolutely packed with playful energy. He can turn anything into a toy, orchestrate perfectly timed sneak-attacks on his siblings, and has discovered that cats and dogs alike make excellent companions. He’s wonderfully social with other animals and clearly happiest with a feline buddy by his side.
That buddy, of course, is his beloved brother Jack. If Oscar is the cautious thinker, Jack is the warmhearted extrovert. Oscar’s short sleek coat contrasts beautifully with Jack’s fluffy snuggle-ready fur, and their personalities balance just as well. Jack shows Oscar every day that humans can be friends, and being together has helped Oscar blossom in ways we never expected. Keeping them together isn’t just preferred; it’s essential for Oscar’s continued growth and happiness.
These boys do well with other cats, polite dogs, and respectful, cat-savvy children. Their perfect home will be with someone who has experience with cats and understands how to build trust with a shy kitty. The reward will be enormous: watching Oscar continue to unfold while Jack soaks up every bit of affection you offer.
Oscar and Jack must be adopted as a pair. They are bonded and will not be separated.
If you’re ready to welcome a playful duo, offer patience to one and endless snuggles to the other, and watch a beautiful bond continue to flourish, Oscar and Jack are waiting to meet you.
We received a grant from PetFinder Foundation to help find their forever home! Their adoption fee has been reduced by $200 (adoption fee for the pair is $400).
Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).
All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.
Location: Glastonbury, CT
Adoption Fee: $600 for the pair
