Hi!!!! I`m Minnie, pleased to meet you!!! I`m a sweet, loving girl, who adores being around her people. Sometimes I forget I`m a cat, and think I`m a parrot, sitting on your shoulder! My foster mom says I`m a curious girl (I think that`s because I figured out how to open cupboard doors), but I just like playing hide and seek! Catnip is also AWESOME!!
I came into care after my owner got too poorly to take care of me and my sisters, but but now I`m ready to start over and find my forever home. Although I love people, I`m not a huge fan of others cats or dogs, and so would really thrive where I`m the only kitty.

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.
Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older
Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older
Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.

The Barrhead Animal Rescue Society (B.A.R.S.) was established in January 2010, and is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals in the Town of Barrhead, the County of Barrhead and surrounding areas.
We provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned, lost, and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes.
