My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valencia’s story began in heartbreak, but through compassion and foster care, she has blossomed into the affectionate, kind-hearted companion she was always meant to be. This incredible mama was found nursing her newborn kittens inside a dumpster at a local school, discovered only after a custodian heard faint cries coming from within. Despite the danger and discomfort, Valencia was lovingly caring for her babies, doing everything she could to keep them safe and their bellies full.

Our rescue was contacted immediately, and we brought Valencia and her litter into a safe, kitten-proofed foster space (Shown in photos. These are older photos. Kittens are now 6+ weeks old). From day one, she was gentle, trusting, and sweet, allowing her foster caregiver to love on her and her kittens without hesitation. It was clear that this strong mama was not only friendly, but full of love.

Valencia raised her three kittens with devotion. One has already been pre-adopted, and her two other kittens, America and Freedom, are now looking for forever homes of their own.

But Valencia’s love didn’t stop there! Shortly after her arrival, we received another call about abandoned newborn kittens. Their mother, a teenage cat, was unable to care for them and didn't know how to, being a kitten herself. Without hesitation, Valencia took in the new babies, Freedom and Yankee, and raised them as if they were her own.

Valencia has done her job as a mama, and now it’s her turn to be the one who’s cared for. She’s affectionate, gentle, and will fill your home with purrs, head boops, and companionship. She’s available now for adoption!

If you’re looking for a cat with a loving soul and a heart of gold, Valencia is ready to bring warmth and serenity to your home.

The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and abused cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.

Although many cats love the outdoors, we believe street living is not meant for cats as it poses many dangers to them such as being a potential gateway to contracting infectious diseases, getting injured or abused, all while creating litters of kittens that can grow into an uncontrolled community of cats very quickly. For all these reasons and many more, the outdoors can never provide a cat the healthy, fulfilling life it deserves. The Purrty Pals provides a fighting chance to these homeless and innocent kitties.

Our team is committed to making a difference in reducing the overall stray cat population in our community, while still advocating for the humane treatment of cats.
