Gru was found stray in July of 2025 and he’s been winning hearts ever since! If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts adventurous and affectionate, Gru might just be your perfect match. Out in the play yard, Gru’s curiosity shines— he loves to explore and sniff every single inch of his surroundings. As soon as he’s had his fill of adventure, he makes a beeline for his handler, ready for treats, pets, and all the attention you can offer. Gru recently had a playdate with another SICSA pup- they played in a way that’s hard to describe but hilarious to watch! One of our staff members described the most tender moment with him: “Gru melted into my lap, trying to get as close as possible, licking my neck and face and resting his head on my chest. He fell into a deep sleep for about 10 minutes.”
