To see our Muffin, is to love our Muffin! One of our most exciting days was when she was cleared from heartworm treatment and she was then able to play - for the first time since she came to us six months ago!
All during her treatment, we were just counting the days until we could put her with some of our more special dogs - because we knew she had just the personality that would bring out the best in them - and we were right!
Muffin so cutely and persistently begged Max to play that he couldn't help but give in! And then he had a blast with her! They rolled around and jumped on each other and had a great game of chase - playgroup magic!
It's hard to believe that with such exuberance for life that Muffin is shy, but it's true. When she first meets people, she is very wary. But, if you hang in there with her, she will soon be booping your nose with her nose and lean into you like you've known her forever.
Muffin's dad, Huckleberry, has been adopted and is living his best life with his new family and we so hope that is in the very near future for our Muffin! She spent most of her first year of life living in a dirt field with 14 other dogs in subpar conditions, so having a family to call her own would be a dream come true for her!
Muffin and her friends can be seen every single day from 9am-12pm!
Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton VA. *Needs a home with a securely fenced yard. Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!
