HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Can be nervous at first, but warms up over time and is a cuddly, loving lap cat once he's comfortable; looking for patient people who will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell
- Likes scampering after balls and laser toys and playing in tunnels; likes to play hide and seek
- Loves to look out windows and see what's happening in the neighborhood
- Has done well with other cats
- Stressed around dogs (happiest with no canine)
This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
