Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Twila – The Gentle Soul with Extra Toes and Extra Love to Give
Twila is a beautiful, short-haired gray girl with a quiet spirit and the sweetest little secret—she’s a polydactyl on all four feet! That means she has extra toes and adorable mitten-like paws that make her even more special. Around 4 years old, Twila is a mellow, plump lady who enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a cozy hiding spot, a good meal, and the slow, steady rhythm of a peaceful home.
Twila is very mild-mannered and naturally shy. She’s not going to be the cat who runs to greet you at the door—but give her time, patience, and kindness, and she will slowly begin to blossom. She needs an understanding adopter who’s willing to let her open up at her own pace, without pressure or expectations. The good news? Twila loves food. Canned meals and Churus are her absolute favorites, and they can be a great way to build trust and connection.
She does very well with other cats and would likely thrive in a home with a calm feline companion or two. She’s also good with calmer dogs who give her space, and older, cat-savvy kids who understand that love sometimes means waiting quietly until she’s ready to come to you.
Twila may never be the life of the party, but in the right home, she’ll be a loyal, gentle companion who shows you a quieter kind of love—the kind that’s deeply earned and deeply rewarding. If you have a soft spot for shy souls and room in your heart for a cat who just needs a little extra time, Twila may be the perfect match for you.
