My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/3/26. Hi folks, it's me BLUEBELL! I was really hoping for a home for the holidays, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Since I came from the shelter, not a lot of history is known about me, but the volunteers here say I am a super sweet gal with a lot of love to give. I like calm male dogs and am good with little dogs too. I don't know why I keep getting overlooked; I don't know if it's because I am blue or my ears aren't perfect, but if you would just give me a chance, I promise a better loyal companion you will not find. I had an interested adopter before Thanksgiving, but she ghosted me, which really gets the volunteers upset. Please SHARE me, and maybe I can ring in the New Year with my furever family.

10/6/25. BLUEBELL has been patiently waiting for her furever home. This sweet 3-year-old girl is friendly with everyone she meets, loves belly rubs, and going for walks. She may do well with a calm, smaller dog or best as the only princess in the house. She's a good girl and ready to be your best friend.

8/9/25. Our beautiful BLUEBELL is looking for her forever family. This young Dobergal came to us from the shelter, so we don't have a lot of history on her, but she is very sweet, has a calm and gentle temperament, and is friendly with everyone she meets. She waits quietly in her kennel until it's her turn to go out. We are still evaluating her with other dogs, but with proper introduction, she would likely do well with another calm male. We have no history of her with cats or children. She is already spayed and undergoing treatment for heartworm but is ready to go home. Her pictures don't do her justice; she's absolutely adorable. Don't miss out on BLUEBELL!

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
