Once she has time to settle in, this lovely husky enjoys gentle pets and quiet companionship. She’s a classic husky in all the best ways—vocal, curious, and happiest when she’s out on a walk taking in all the smells. She’s not much for toys, but treats are a favorite, and she plays wonderfully with other dogs. She’d do best with adopters who can give her time to adjust and provide daily mental and physical enrichment.
Check out what one volunteer has to say about her: Karma was the best doggy day adventure buddy! She hopped right in the car with zero hesitation. She was the slightest bit vocal on our way out, but she just wanted to let me know how excited she was for the afternoon ahead.
We drove to downtown Martinez where we walked around a bit then stopped to grab coffee. She instantly wagged when she saw another dog and was so happy to meet it, she even snubbed a treat so she could spend more time with her new pal. She also met a number of new human friends, each of which commented on her calm energy and sweet disposition. She really turned on the charm by giving them all unprompted paw shakes as well.
She hopped right up on the bench to pose for a photo while we waited for our coffee order. After downtown we went to Mount Wanda and hiked for a while. She loved sniffing everything - from bushes to gopher holes, you name it she wanted to check it out. She was very easy on leash and only pulled when she saw a squirrel and a cat, but lost interest in them fairly quickly.
Karma was really lovely to have for the afternoon. She seems pretty easy going and I think she would especially thrive with a family that would take her on outdoor adventures so she could sniff and explore.
