I didn’t understand what was happening and preferred to hide out and not let people touch me. I’ve come to learn though, that people are great! I love getting attention and pets and the second you open my door, I’m ready! I’ll immediately try to climb into your arms and purr so loudly you might think I’m secretly a motorboat. I’m a young guy and do well with other kitties and would probably be fine in a home with dogs as well. Could I be the perfect addition to your family? The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.
With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.
Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
