Meet Cleo!
This special girl is looking for her forever home!
At 5 years old, Cleo still has bursts of playful puppy energy but is fully crate and house trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate—her snoring is impressive!—but she’s just as happy to burrow under the covers in bed if invited.
Cleo enjoys walks, cuddling on the couch, chewing on her Kong bone, watching animals on TV, greeting Amazon deliveries, and charming the 10-year-old neighbor. She has a funny little habit of grabbing tall grass during walks and hopping away like she just pulled off a heist.
Cleo has gone on walks alongside the resident dog and done wonderfully. While she can be calm with another dog in the same room (on leash), she really shines when she has the space to herself. In a home where she’s the only dog, her goofy, wiggly, cuddly personality comes out in full force.
Cleo would do best in a home without young children, though older kids who respect her space could be a good fit. She’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion and bring joy, laughs, and love into a lucky family’s life.

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.
When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.
The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!
What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
