Meet Kanima 💖

Kanima is a sweet, resilient girl who has truly beaten the odds. When she first arrived, she was extremely underweight and struggling, and her medical team wasn’t sure what her future would look like. With consistent care, good food, and a safe place to land, Kanima began to shine. Today, she’s healthy, happy, and full of life, with a beautiful, shiny black coat and a deep appreciation for all the good things - especially mealtime, playtime, walks, car rides, and quiet time with her people.

In the home, Kanima has been wonderful. She does well with visitors and warms up nicely to other dogs, happily joining the pack after a short adjustment period. She’s potty trained, sleeps in the bedroom with her foster family and dog siblings, and enjoys toys, calm walks, and simply being near her humans.

Though we don’t know much about her early life before arriving as a stray, it’s clear that Kanima is embracing every new experience with curiosity and gratitude. She forms strong bonds with the people who care for her and would thrive in a home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family. After everything she’s overcome, Kanima is ready to share her heart with a family of her own.
