Booker, a true snuggle bug, blossoms in the presence of love and companionship, particularly with his foster family and their resident dog. After a difficult past, he's incredibly grateful for the affection he receives, readily settling down for a day of couch cuddles or enjoying energetic play sessions and games of fetch in the yard. He's a sweet and friendly boy who's good with cats, most dogs and eventually warms up to new people, though he may be a bit cautious at first and a little skeptical of meeting new men. Booker is currently learning leash manners and is making progress, even though his excitement can lead him to pull when he spots another dog or a tempting squirrel. He would be a fantastic addition to a home with someone who works from home or another calm dog who can help him continue to gain confidence and settle into a loving routine.
