My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hattie was found in a parking lot on a hot day trying to catch a bird in a tree. She came immediately when I called out to her, and allowed me to scoop her up and take her with me. She was not microchipped appeared very young. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for fiv/felv. In foster care she's made several new friends around her age. She's super playful and enjoys wrestling and chasing her new buddies around. She would do well in a household with another young cat or kitten around her age. She's affectionate and enjoys the company of humans and cats alike. She really loves wand toys and jump several feet in the air to catch them. She's quite energetic and would benefit from lots of play.

We appreciate you + we love our animals. Please be patient as this may take a few business days to check all personal + vet references.

We are a 100% foster-based organization so a day/time is coordinated with our amazing foster to meet the animal that caught your eye.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our contracts are digital + sent from our software database.

Pay Fee

We have several options for you to help us continue our work in matching animals with their forever family units.

At this time, Familiar Hearts Animal Society meetings are by appointment only.

We currently rely on our amazing web of generous fosters throughout the Philadelphia area and will do our best to make a meeting as convenient as possible for both human + animal.

Meetings will need to be coordinated through the foster of the animal you are interested in meeting.

Mission Statement: To end the unnecessary suffering of homeless companion animals by serving as a refuge and enabling humans to provide them quality and compassionate homes.

Our Vision: Our mission is two-fold; we want to help abandoned pets and we want to help stop pet abandonment.

We operate using a network of kind hearted hands to help find homeless animals veterinary and behavior care and then match them with appropriate forever homes. We also strive to educate pet owners about resources they might utilize in order to best understand how to provide for their friends with furry paws, feathers or claws. We always do our best to help.
