My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing DJ Catnip – the slickest, silkiest, most mysterious feline on the block. With a jet-black coat that gleams like vinyl and just a few white chest hairs (for technical non-black-cat status), he`s got the looks and the vibes. A true headliner, DJ Catnip spins the turntables of affection on his own schedule – one moment you’re getting VIP access to chin scritches, the next he might drop a surprise track called “That’s Enough Now.” But don`t be concerned, his claws stay hidden, and he gives fair warning. DJ Catnip respects boundaries...and asks that you do the same. Think of him as a furry connoisseur of personal space who, once you’ve earned his trust, will reward you with charm and comedy.

He’s a bit of a guy’s guy – bonding quickly with his foster dad and reserving purrs, snuggles, and top-tier affection for his chosen human. So, if you`ve got confident cat energy and a laid-back vibe, DJ might just be your new best bro. DJ Catnip is obsessed with Temptations. He will politely (but persistently) loiter by the snack stash until you get the message. He loves catnip toys, the laser pointer, ripple rug, and a good tunnel sprint. In his downtime he enjoys sunny window spots and high perches to observe his kingdom. He`s clean, tidy, and excellent with the litterbox.

His ideal home is an experienced cat human (or humans) with the patience to earn a relationship that’s as rewarding as it is funny. DJ Catnip is not an `instant bestie` cat, but when he lets you in, it feels like winning the affection lottery. He is good with dogs and needs time to be introduced to adult cats, although he is friendly with the young kittens at his foster home. He is happiest as the only cat in the home. If you`re looking for a silky-soft solo artist with a spicy streak and loads of potential, DJ Catnip is ready to lay down tracks in a forever home. If DJ sounds like your kind of guy, reach out to Team Cat Rescue today.
