My name is Max!

Max was found by my wife as a puppy while I was deployed. She took him from a person who had been beating him and his siblings. I have now had Max for four years and he is part of my family. He barks at other animals and will defend himself if provoked, but has been seen to get along with dogs as well, mainly bigger dogs. He is a picky eater at times but listens to commands. He is a little too intelligent for a dog, as he'll sometimes pick favorites between my wife and I. Unfortunately we are about to have a child and my wife is severely allergic to Max. While it was something we've put up with for years, it is now effecting her health in a permanent way. Her doctors have told her she now has lungs over a smoker, despite not being one herself. To prevent further risk for my wife while pregnant, or potentially for our future child, we have reluctantly decided it is time to let Max go to another loving home.
