Meet Toffee – The Sweetest Tough Cookie You’ll Ever Meet.
Like her name suggests, Toffee has a bit of a tough outer shell—but crack it, and inside is pure, sugary sweetness. Rescued from a West Philly cat colony with her litter of kittens, Toffee didn’t exactly have the easiest start to indoor life. After fighting off a virus and getting the full vaccine spa treatment, she’s fully recovered and ready to find her forever home.
Toffee is a quiet, shy observer of the human world, but don’t be fooled—she’s not quite hiding. In fact, she’ll announce her presence with the kind of proud chirps that would make a songbird jealous. Stealthy? Not this girl.
She’s a feline socialite when it comes to other animals—cats, big dogs, probably a small alpaca if you had one (we haven’t tested that). If it’s got four legs and a friendly vibe, Toffee is ready to give headboops.
While she’s still working on trusting humans fully, Toffee loves to be pet, especially if you offer face scritches and a brush. While she does like her personal space, Toffee still wants to hang near you (in a box or on a windowsill are her favorites) and be around the other pets.
Toffee’s ideal home is a chill, low-key household—bonus points if you already have a pet or two for her to befriend. She’s the ultimate introvert’s cat: quiet, affectionate on her terms, and no drama. Just give her time, space, snacks, and love, and she’ll reward you with loud purrs and playful antics, once she’s comfy.
Interested in adding a little caramel-colored sweetness to your life? Toffee’s waiting!
Toffee Elliott is a year old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
