If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Pesto, a nearly three-year-old pup weighing 60-65 pounds, believed to be a mix of German Shepherd, Husky, and Border Collie. With his adorable ears, one up and one down, he is quite the character!
Energetic and playful, Pesto loves running in the backyard, playing fetch, swimming in his pool, belly rubs, and going for car rides for a pup cup treat. He enjoys bully sticks, milkbones, and peanut butter, but has a sensitive stomach and requires moderation with treats and special food daily. Despite being social at daycare, he can be naughty and reactive, so he needs a home that offers plenty of daily training and stimulation.
His current family loves him dearly, but believes he would thrive in a home with more time for activity. Ideally, he should be the only dog or maybe only one of similar size, and no cats. His family is not sure how he behaves around kids or babies. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and needs a secure fenced yard, along with a warm and patient environment.
