My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rumor is quite an interesting guy! He is fairly outgoing, but you can most often find him on the warmest surface available to him.

He will approach for pets, or just to sort of hang around. He enjoys gentle pets and attention, and is a very relaxed boy who isn't quite motivated to do too much.

He does play with toys from time to time, and in the past he used to play with other cats, but as he's gotten older he's been much more interested in napping and chilling than he is in the idea of exercise. He does, however, enjoy the company of other cats and will often seek out other cats or kittens to lay with for nap time.

He would do fantastic in a quiet home with or without another cat, although he does prefer the company of another cat. He is about 9 months old so he may fill out a bit more when he reaches a full year and up, but otherwise he will not be a very large guy.

More about this rescue

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
