My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sue Ellen The Whole Package with a Fluffy Tail to Boot!

If you're looking for a cat who checks every box, say hello to Sue Ellen. Sweet? Absolutely. Affectionate? You bet. Mature and mellow with just enough spunk to keep things interestingbut never pestering. Her beautiful long, fluffy tail is as expressive as she is, and her blend of silky long and short tabby fur makes her a true original. Best of all? She gets along famously with other cats.

So why is a gem like Sue Ellen still waiting? We ask ourselves the same thing.

This lovely lady was heartbreakingly left behind on the porch of her mobile home in the summer heat when her people moved away. But Sue Ellen isn't holding onto the pastshe's looking ahead, hoping for someone who sees her for the treasure she is.

She's currently in temporary foster care, but dreaming of a more permanent arrangementeven if its just a foster stepping stone to forever. All food and vet care are covered while shes in foster care. What she really wants is a home where she can settle in, be cherished, and never be left behind again.

Sue Ellen is ready to give her heart to a family wholl keep it safe. Could that be you?

More about this rescue

Our mission is to assist the community to reduce feline overpopulation. We accomplish this mission with two programs.
Our adoption program called Rescue and Re-Home places cats and kittens for adoption into loving homes.
Our feral cat program called Race to Reduce Litters utilizes TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) to help control feral cat breeding and overpopulation. Cats are humanely trapped, sterilized and vaccinated against rabies and are returned to their original location where human caregivers provide food. Kittens from feral colonies are tamed and entered into our adoption program.
