My name is Fancy and I am a less than 1 year old female, domestic short hair cat. I was rescued by some nice people and brought to Golden Paws to find my forever home. I have been shy, timid and scared since my arrival at the shelter, although everyone here is very kind to me. I went through some rough times before that, and although I love being with other cats, I am still somewhat leary of Hoomans.
For those of you who are not familiar with the domestic short hair, we are a mixture of many breeds. We are very popular worldwide and are generally adaptable, intelligent and relatively low maintenance. We come in many colors and pattern combinations. I happen to be a Calico, or Dilute Calico. We are generally friendly and very good with families, especially children. We also like other animals but, like all cats, we enjoy our independence too.
I need a home with Hoomans who have the time and desire to show me the love, patience and understanding that will help me get over any fears from my past. Isn't that what everyone needs though? Anyone going to a new place, surrounded by new people, will need some time to adjust. I have a long life ahead of me and with Hoomans who will give me extra TLC and patience, I will be the best house cat and the best buddy ever.
I have been spayed, I've had all my shots, and I'm ready to begin my new adventure.
