Hi there, I'm Zed! I'm 3+ years old, and weigh 60+ lbs. I'm smart, eager to please, friendly to all the people I meet, and extremely loyal to my family.
BUT - I'm not the dog for everyone. I'm a little nervous, and a little unsure, and I need a leader who I know I can trust. I'm unpredictable around other dogs, I have lived with them and been great friends with some, but I can get overwhelmed and try to drive away others. And if I don't know someone's in charge, I can also be leash reactive to strange dogs. I'm fine with cats, and even chickens! Young children who aren't dog savvy can push my boundaries, and that's not good for me. I probably do best with kids over 10. I'm not a first-time dog owner, nor am I an apartment dog.
Now here's all the good stuff. I'm 100% house trained, crate trained and leash trained. I share toys and treats and all my favorite things easily. I don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. With a leader I trust (men are my favorite), I learn quickly, and listen to what you say. I love car rides too! Fetch is one of my favorite games, although I'm good at entertaining myself too. And this summer I learned that I like the water, at least I like dipping in the puppy pool.
My perfect home would be a place where I can be the center of attention, get plenty of walks and fun, and be understood for who I am. If you think you're a fit, I would love to meet you!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application at rescuegang.org/adopt.
Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application.
An adoption is not considered without a completed application. This step will let us know if your household is what our animal needs to feel safe and comfortable!
Step 2: Background Check, Landlord Check, Vet Check
We will check to make sure that you do not have any violent charges, are allowed pets where you live, and will check with your vet to make sure your animals have remained up to date on testing, vaccinations, and checkups.
Step 3: Meet and Greet
If approved, our adoption coordinator will set you up with the foster parent’s contact information. It is up to you to call the foster parent and schedule a meet and greet.
Step 4: Home Visit
One of our volunteers will come to your house and conduct a home visit with the help of a checklist.
Step 5: Adoption Decision
Rescue Gang will decide if both parties would make a great fit for each other! If so, we can go about finalizing your adoption! Please keep in mind that an approved application does not necessarily mean that you *are* going to be able to adopt the animal you applied for.
Please note:
An approved application means that your have passed the initial screening process and may proceed to the following steps. The animal you are interested in may have more than one application and may have already found his/ her forever home before you are able to meet. In that case, your application will remain active for 90 days
